Jesse Bernard is a freelance journalist, creative writer, editor and photographer. His work predominantly maps the lineage of Black British music while observing its role in contemporary culture and society. While currently a contributing editor for TRENCH, his work has been featured in The FADER, Bandcamp, NME, Dazed, Brick Magazine, Crack, FACT Mag, Complex, The Independent, ShortList, Red Bull Music, Okayplayer, Noisey, PAPER, The Guardian and many others, in both print and online. 

Jesse has also been the host and creator of a bi-weekly music podcast Spot The Sample on Mixcloud since 2015. Previously worked as a weekend editor for Highsnobiety in Berlin. Jesse has also worked on and helped deliver campaigns for brands such as Lululemon, RockCorps, BBC, NTS, VICE, Complex, Barclaycard and more across social media and editorial.
